New to 2021 ARM has partnered with Avoncroft Museum in Bromsgrove to bring you more events and entertainment.

For this year we have the history of Halloween 30/31st October. A Medieval to 1700’s Christmas on 4/5th December and a Victorian Christmas 11/12th December

The history of Halloween (Late night opening) opening times – 10 am-5 pm – evening starts at 6 pm till 10 pm

  • Celts/Vikings – History of Samhain
  • Medieval – Preparing for All hallows eve
  • Tudor – Witchcraft talks
  • Victorian – History of Halloween
  • C20th – History of Halloween (maybe how it has changed)
  • Multi Period Traders

Medieval – 1700’s Christmas (Late night opening) opening times – 10am-5pm – evening starts at 6pm till 10pm

  • Medieval groups bringing in the green/preparing for christmas
  • Tudor groups discussing the traditions/wrapping a spinning wheel in ivy/the twelve days of Christmas/Boxing day traditions/the lord of Misrule etc
  • Civil war – When Christmas was banned/underground christmas’
  • Carolling

Victorian to 1950’s Christmas (Late night opening) opening times – 10am-5pm – evening starts at 6pm till 10pm

  • Traditional Green Father Christmas – Christmas Parade
